Onboard the International Space Station (ISS), as a part of “Uragan” Earth exploration experiment, various observation devices are used, including photo and video spectral equipment, orientation which is carried out manually by crew through portholes. However, severe limitations imposed on planning such experiments, primary related to necessity taking into account crew’s daily routine availability time allocated for scientific experiments. The solution expanding ability conduct experiments employing automated platforms (OP). One these OPs equipment system SOVA-1-426. A method angles forecasting optical instruments pointing at predefined objects Earth’s surface with SOVA-1-426 presented. Moreover, in described method, addition coordinates center mass, current ISS taken account, makes it possible perform forecast better precision. Taking use rotation quaternion control platform automatic mode. presented high-resolution photo-camera aboard allows its alignment accuracy up seven kilometers. implemented software currently used OP remote sensing surface.
